When Selecting a Course

The Group Firearms Courses listed below are designed for shooters who own their own equipment and who have a basic or better understanding of firearms. These classes generally require a student to own his/her own firearm, holster, ammunition, and safety equipment. These courses last approximately 8-12 hours and require 300-500 rounds of ammunition. Each course description will outline the required equipment list and the skill level necessary to succeed in the class.

If you are a NEW SHOOTER or someone who has little to no prior formal training, we recommend enrolling in our beginner-friendly courses, held weeknights at the Athens Gun Club. Options include:
- Private Pistol Training (for groups of up to 4)
- Small Group Training (open enrollment course with a cap of 3 students)
- Private Introduction to Defensive Firearms (for groups of up to 4 - includes training on rifles and shotguns)
